A Website Or An Advert?
How many more times? ‘Sign up for BCFC World’ That’s great. I already have it, why when I already have a cookie on my PC for their bloody website can they not detect that? Amateurish. Now for gawds sake let me get to the main site! It’s becoming apparent in my mind that PTV couldn’t give a toss about the 72 football league websites, they are just interested in pushing their pay-for-highlights packages. I have signed up for BCFC World and to be frank I wish I hadn’t. Okay so what does it offer me? Highlights of the games in not the greatest quality. News, interviews, but hardly anything that I could not find out on the main site or from newspapers. The only thing I have found it useful is commentary, but most of the time I either go or can tune into the radio anyway. I will admit that the package must be useful for the exiles amongst us, not least The Incider’s RedTop. But really the price hasn’t justified what I expected. I will not be renewing my account at the end of the season. I have nothing to complain about with regards to our webmaster at BCFC, Adam Baker is indeed a very talented man. But the site is becoming more of an extended advertisement than a website for fans that shows the latest BCFC news. If it’s not BCFC World, there are the countless pop ups and shameless plugs for Bet 365. I wouldn’t mind so much but bcfcbet had Fagan at 13/2 to score for us after he left. Startlingly, those odds were actually less generous than the 15/2 they offered when he was here! The site takes longer to download each time I visit and there are so many fillers between the news story it’s become a pain. I don’t visit much these days, and that is a shame because the quality of the content is being ruined by PTV and their attempts to get every last penny out of us. Well while on my soap box, what a farce the new away shirt saga was. City are TFG’s most valued customer? Christ knows what there worst customers get treated like. We all knew that we’d have some input on next seasons away kit, but how little we got in the end was a joke. “Four exclusive new designs,” the club shouted. “Er….One kit with four different colours crayons,” the rest of us called back. A blue kit? An orange kit? Are you having a laugh? I cannot believe after some excellent kits chalked up by some City fans on the forums that TFG and the club seem to have decided to incorporate absolutely jack sh*t into the final design. I feel that if this was the best TFG could come up with there BEST customer then the club should be looking elsewhere for a new manufacturer, because frankly the stuff we are being sold isn’t up to the grade. Now if Carlisle can have Umbro as a kit manufacture why the hell can’t we? I have not seen such poor kits since the days of the infamous purple and green offering. Will I buy the kit next season? Probably if only to support the club. But then the club know that when they make the decision. Incidentally, watch out for the Incider flag on tour this month.
We are hoping to take in all of the away games and also the LDV
final in Baadiff! If you see some funny chaps with Redtop, Edson & Tomarse
on their back then come over and say hello! Tomarse |
