In each edition of The Incider we will be asking you to vote on one of the big issues facing the club.

With the season nearly half way through, we have had a chance to see how well City’s young guns can cope in Division Two and size up what our promotion rivals have to offer. Against the other teams in the top six going into December, we have lost 2-0 at Wigan, 1-0 at Oldham, 3-1 at home to QPR and rescued a point with the 2-2 home draw against Crewe.

Yet we have improved as the season has progressed and started December on a 12-match unbeaten run. We are the highest scorers in the division – despite pre-season fears about our potency in front of goal after Tony Thorpe left – and have the joint-meanest defence at home.

So we want to know, quite simply, where you expect the Robins to finish the season.

THE BIG VOTE – ISSUE SIX RESULT

In our Issue Six poll, we asked you to predict how many points City would pick up in December. With our excellent unbeaten run continuing, 58.3 per cent of you forecast between seven and nine points out of the possible 12. Another 29.2 per cent predicted we would snatch between nine and 12 points. Just 9.7 per cent of you thought City would take four to six points, and a measly 2.8 per cent of you were miserable enough to expect between zero and three points. The total number of votes cast was 72.

The results show that the team’s great run is resulting in growing confidence for the future among the fans. Only one in eight of you predicted we would pick up no more than half the points on offer in December.

Since the question was posed, however, the Notts County fixture has been rearranged, meaning there are now 15 points up for grabs this month. Thanks for your votes. Let’s hope we go into the New Year still unbeaten.

Don’t forget to log back on when Issue Eight goes online on Monday of January 6th to find out the result of our latest vote.
