Mercurial wingman Scott has been at Ashton Gate for five years now, joining City from Aston Villa in 1997. Despite being blessed with a determined attitude and an ability to score goals from midfield, Danny Wilson still insists on picking him for his first eleven. Scott is probably best loved, and will be long-remembered, for his 'hand cupping ear' celebration after putting City 2-1 up against Cardiff at Ninian Park. However City were ultimately unable to hold on to this one goal advantage, and ended up making it three. He he he he he. This not only served to give us a famous victory, but also ensured that Scott became a hate-figure for Cardiff fans and thus put to bed any chance of him joining them over the summer. What a shame. Scott has started this season in reasonably subdued fashion according to many fans, but nevertheless has already become our top scorer with six goals in eleven league games. We all look forward to Scott shaking off his poor early season form and moving in to top gear, when hopefully he will find the net a bit more regularly. Scott recently played in a trial game for Scotland, but unfortunately this did not lead to a call up to the squad for their recent 2-2 draw against the Faroe Islands. Despite only being a tiny country inhabited mainly by sheep, simple country folk and fishermen, Scotland would still have hoped for more from that game. Likely Headlines: Great Scott.
